Farewell O Tannenbaum

Here is a snap of this year's tree before it was retired, rest her soul.

Our tree, too...

Here's a picture of our tree! We had a great Christmas, and my blog will be updated at some point... :)

Our Tree

I haven't posted here in a while but I thought I'd follow Jen's post and add a picture of our tree. Granted I didn't decorate it all, especially the bottom half since Peyton couldn't keep her paws off of it. I even bought her and Sebastian a little tree with shatterproof ornaments and she couldn't help but disregard that and go for mine. So I have the bottom missing lights and ornaments. :p HA HA HA Maybe next year will be better! :D

We hope you all and an awesome Christmas! I'll be updating our blog in a few minutes with our Christmas pictures (warning, very picture heavy). So if you don't have our blog address bookmarked (ha ha) here it is again: thesantfamily.blogspot.com. Love you!

Christmas tree 2008

Okay, after my rebuke from Andee on Face book, I've decided to learn how to blog! So I thought I'd start with some baby steps. Since we can't make the rounds to every ones house at Christmas time, I thought that a little Christmas tree show and tell would be fun. I just hope I'm not to late and that every one hasn't torn their tree down!

Winter pictures

I am trying to juggle three blogs (my blog, the Sant blog, and my photo blog). Sorry for the repeat pictures on all of my blogs, but I never know who is looking at what. You Florida people probably don't have all the personal blog addresses for all of us, but just check out the Sant blog. In addition to the Sant blog all us Utah gals have our own personal blogs. I would say all of us post WAY more to our personal blogs than our Sant family blog. Anyway here are a few pictures that I have posted to my other blogs...enjoy!

Blast from the past!!

This was are attempt at family pictures a couple years ago! The boys were antagonizing each other and being silly for the camera. But those pictures show off their real personalities! Peekaboo photos did a great job!!

Media bias via photograph omission

I stumbled on a great article about left-wing/progressive media bias. Very interesting read.

Anatomy of a Photograph
An analysis of a single seemingly innocuous photograph, and the pervasive media bias it reveals.

Head shots and such...

Kenadee was my little muse again! I am trying to learn as much as I can before I launch my photog business. I will post a few more later this week from a different location. Thanks Kenadee!!

Hidden Talents

American Idol's Simon Cowell also co-hosts a show in the UK called "Britain's Got Talent". One frumpy looking mobile phone salesman, despite his personal self-confidence issues, decided to face his fears and showcase his remarkable talent. Who would have suspected this man's ability? It makes me wonder about the hidden talents of those around me.

What hidden talents do we each have? What talent could manifest itself if we would only take the time to refine it?

"CHANGE" and other random thoughts...

Well, Dang it all, we get to have four years of "change" like it or not. You might be asking yourself what exactly Obama meant by "change"? He has been spouting off for two years breaking down barriers and influencing the minds of young collage voters and liberal sheep everywhere. I got so sick of the term "change" but could never find any real rhetoric to support what exactly this big idea was about (not that it would have mattered much, just curious). So, yesterday, I heard from a friend that the word on the street in Arizona is this:
CHANGE stands for:
C - come
H - help
A - a
N - nigger
G - get
E - elected
You might be thinking...Harsh. Racist. Inappropriate. Or just, "Why didn't I think of that. I could have made some good money off of T-shirt sales." Even if you don't want to admit that you giggled a little at the acronym, every time you hear the word "change" you will know what Obama really meant. I guess McCain should have had a catchy slogan too:)

Kidding aside, we are in trouble. Powerhouse companies, foreign countries, and Hollywood's A list seem to be funding the man who will lead this country. It's too cool and certainly more liberal and politically correct to be a Democrat. Conservatisim is so yesterday, or so we're told. So grab your bibles and guns and hunker down for a wild ride. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I found an article that expresses the fact of total intolerance in reverse. Very interesting.

I still think we missed the boat on those T-shirt sales:)

Sant Halloween Party!!

We all got together at my house this year for a Halloween Party and trick-or-treating! We had the usual Sant buffet table of munchies and baked goods! The kids all looked so cute and were so excited to be together. After dinner we let the kids trick or treat around my neighborhood first. Then all the kids piled in the back of Bryan's Tahoe (with the hatch up) and drove around to let the kids get their fill of tricks and treats! Paul enjoyed riding around the streets on a scooter while screaming and terrorizing all the little kids! It was pretty funny! The weather was exceptional. Totally calm, warm, with just a slight crisp to the air. PERFECT!! Hope your Florida Halloween was super fun too! We all want to see pictures....which means one of you is going to have to sit down and figure out how to post something to this blog. I think the easiest way to do it is for one of you to call me and have me walk you through it over the phone. Once you realize how friggin' easy it is your going to laugh! Seriously it is so simple and easy!!
